Our Summer Max Mix is a fast-growing, warm-season blend designed to enrich your soil, suppress weeds, and support pollinators through the heat of summer. It’s an adaptable mix that can include cowpeas, soybeans, sunn hemp, millet, sorghum-sudangrass, oats, buckwheat, and sunflower. This mix changes slightly every year-providing a rich mix of nitrogen fixers, biomass builders, and flowering species.
This blend is ideal for cover cropping garden beds, silvopastures, fallow fields, and summer soil-building rotations. It thrives in warm weather, outcompetes weeds, and adds valuable organic matter when mowed or crimped before going to seed.
