Late blooming three-season plant – the emerging leaves are usually reddish, the fall color is red to burgundy red and if you don’t cut the stems in late fall, they stay ornamental throughout the winter.
Tolerant to heat and humidity. Attracts a lot of pollinators – mostly flies, bees and wasps, but occasionally butterflies too.
Meets in bloom with many summer and fall perennials and simply looks striking
