The Blue Myrtle Cactus is a tree-like, candelabra-like, branching plant with 4-8 prominent gray-green ribs. The ribs have a single, thick, long central spine with a few short, thick, radical spines. The flowers are quite small, 1in, with short floral tubes, greenish-white in color, waxy, and translucent. The fruit is tasty, like blueberries.
