Impatiens sodenii ‘Robert the Red’

Shrub Balsam, Poor Man’s Rhododendron: Perennial Impatiens shrub 5′ tall x 6′ wide with dark red stems and lush green leaves flushed with red. Part sun to part shade. Fast-growing with large 3 rosy pink flowers. Clay, sand, heat and drought tolerant once established. Long blooming, good for dry shade, but looks lusher with occasional irrigation. Good for containers. Hummingbird and pollinator friendly. Deer resistant. Low to medium water.
