Aruncus dioicus
Commonly known as goat’s beard. This tall growing perennial offers showy, cream colored flowers that look similar to astilbe. A clump-forming, bushy plant that can grow to 2 feet tall with dark green foliage. Expect blooms from early to mid summer.
This perennial spreads slowly by rhizomes to form attractive patches. An excellent choice for in woodland settings or shade gardens, it can be planted in sunny areas, as well, provided there is good moisture.
Excellent for use in thefronts of borders, in containers and eclectic gardens. Plant with Heuchera, Heucherella, Hosta, Pulmonaria and Tiarella as garden companions.
